Editorial and Multimedia Communications

Reed Elsevier/LexisNexis, Coordinating Editor efficiently use multi-platform editorial systems and technology (i.e., XML, HTML, RAS) to update and maintain timely and accurate primary law data, including the administrative and organizational tasks required to ensure timely completion of editorial products and projects.

Act as a team member with legal analysts and other editors to ensure the data integrity of primary law, jurisprudence data, and enhancements for online and published Total Solutions™ legal services and research products.

Responsible for design and presentation of department specific classroom/web-based training; created and maintain a Project Tracker program that streamlined team workflow tracking and management reporting processes.

Easter Associates, Director of Communications researched, composed, created art and graphics for, and produced periodicals, brochures, presentations, monthly newsletters, immediate press releases, and general communications for ten Virginia trade associations; worked closely with outside directors, vendors, and government agencies. Created ads for the American Institute of Architects magazine and monthly newsletters.

Internet and Telephony Services

Broadslate Networks, Customer Support Manager recruited, hired, trained, and managed Support Center Technicians that provided full range of Broadband/CLEC/ISP technical support for users on a seven state network.

Managed Internet Services and provisioning vendors, BCM and ARS Systems for Operations. Cross-trained staff for NOC duty; developed training for and delivered training to field CO Techs and System Integrators. Created and keep current the Service Guide distributed to all customers.

Ntelos/Cornerstone Networks, Internet Services Manager/VP Operations recruited, hired, trained, and managed the interstate ISP and ADSL technical support teams that provided  Ntelos product and service support to 60,000+ users; assisted with implementing Internet system improvements and coordinated with Engineering Departments. Developed and provided web-based training to Level 1 and Level 2 technicians, direct supervision of 17 Level 2 technicians, coordinated with Manager of 30 Level 1 technicians.

Managed daily operations and the business of customers for Cornerstone Networks. Researched, analyzed, implemented an interactive OSS that provided metered billing, online invoicing, trouble tracking, and increased revenue by 30%. Designed and implemented policies, procedures, documentation for customers that helped earn Customer acclaim and awards for “Best ISP.”
